What you need

Every key here is DLC for Dead by Daylight on Steam. To use it you need the base game in your Steam library. The keys do not work on Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox, PlayStation or Switch.

How to activate a key on Steam
  1. Open Steam and log in to the account you play Dead by Daylight on.
  2. In the menu at the top, choose Games, then Activate a Product on Steam. In newer versions of Steam you can also click Add a Game in the bottom left corner and choose the same option.
  3. Paste the key, accept the Steam Subscriber Agreement and confirm.
  4. The DLC is added to your account and downloads with the game the next time Steam updates it.

You can also activate in a web browser. Each revealed key on the order page has an Activate on Steam button that opens Steam's activation page with the key filled in. Log in and confirm there.

Steam's own guide is Activating a Product on Steam. Both links open in a new tab.

Global or EU key

A Global key activates on a Steam account in any country.

An EU key activates only on a Steam account whose region is a country in the European Union. Outside the EU, Steam refuses the key with a region error. EU keys usually cost a bit less, which is why both are on sale.

If you are not sure where your account is registered, buy the Global key. Before you pay for an EU key, the checkout asks you to confirm that you have checked your region.

How to check your Steam account region
  1. In Steam, click your account name in the top right corner and choose Account details.
  2. The page shows the country your Steam store is set to.

Steam sets that country from where you are and how you pay. You cannot simply pick another one, and a VPN does not change it. A key that fails because the account region is outside the EU is not a faulty key.

When your keys arrive

Card payments are usually confirmed within seconds. We then send a delivery email with a link to your keys to the address you entered at payment, and make the keys available on the order page that Stripe sends you back to. The keys themselves are not in the email.

On the order page each key is hidden until you reveal it. To reveal a key, tick the box to confirm you received it and choose Reveal key. We log the time, IP address and browser of the first reveal as evidence that you received and revealed the key. If the key then does not work, you still get a replacement or your money back as described under Refunds.

Some payment methods take one or more days to clear. Your keys are held for the order while that happens, and the delivery email is sent as soon as the payment arrives.

The page Stripe sends you back to shows the keys for 24 hours after payment. After that, open the link in the delivery email, which keeps working. If you bought while logged in, your keys are also kept under your orders in your account.

Refunds

Before you pay, you ask for the keys to be delivered right away, and you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once they are delivered. So a delivered key cannot be returned just because you changed your mind.

If a key does not work when you first try it, you get a replacement key, or your money back if it cannot be replaced. We may ask for a screen recording that shows you entering the key in Steam and the full message Steam shows. If you paid and got no key, you get the key or a full refund. The Refund Policy has the details.
