Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-10-29. Version 2026-10-29.
1. About these terms
1.1 These terms apply to every purchase from Fogside, the online shop on this website, and to the use of customer accounts on it. They form the contract between you and the seller who runs Fogside ("we", "us").
1.2 The contract for an order consists of these terms, the Refund Policy, and the product and price information shown on the product page and at checkout when you placed the order. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is information, not part of the contract.
1.3 A "consumer" is a natural person who buys mainly for purposes outside a business. If you buy as a consumer, you have rights under mandatory consumer law that no contract term can take away. Wherever these terms limit our obligations or your rights, the limit applies only as far as mandatory law allows. Where a section says it applies to business customers, it applies only to buyers who are not consumers.
1.4 The contract is concluded in English. We store a record of every order, including the version of these terms you accepted and when. The current version is always on this page. We keep earlier versions and will send you the version that applied to your order if you ask.
1.5 We have not signed up to any code of conduct.
2. Who we are
Fogside is run by a private seller as a hobby. The seller is not registered for VAT.

More details are on the seller information page.
3. What we sell
3.1 We sell product keys (activation codes) for downloadable content (DLC) for the game Dead by Daylight on Steam. When you activate a key on your Steam account, Steam adds the DLC to that account. The licence to use the DLC is granted by the publisher through Steam, not by us.
3.2 To activate and use a key you need a Steam account, the Steam client and the base game Dead by Daylight on that same Steam account. The base game is not included and is sold separately on Steam. The technical requirements for running the game are listed on the game's Steam store page. The DLC is protected by Steam's own copy protection and can only be used through Steam.
3.3 Keys work on Steam only. They cannot be used on the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile or any other platform.
3.4 Each key is sold in one of two regions, shown on the product page, in the cart, at checkout and on your order:
- Global: can be activated on a Steam account in any region where the DLC is sold on Steam.
- EU: can only be activated on a Steam account whose region is a member state of the European Union. Steam decides your account region, not us, and you cannot change it by using a VPN or by travelling. Your account region is shown in the account details of your Steam account.
3.5 If your cart contains an EU key, you must separately confirm the following at checkout before you can pay:
I understand that EU keys can only be activated on a Steam account whose region is in the European Union, and that checking my account region before buying is my responsibility.
By giving that confirmation you expressly accept that an EU key cannot be activated on a Steam account outside the EU region. Because you were told about this before buying and separately accepted it, the region restriction is part of what you bought and is not a fault in the key (konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 9 kap. 4 § with 4 kap. 6 §).
3.6 Product names and descriptions describe the DLC as the publisher offers it on Steam. The content of the DLC itself is decided by the publisher and is delivered by Steam.
3.7 We may limit how many keys of a product can be bought in one order or by one customer. Any limit is applied in the cart before you pay.
4. Accounts and guest checkout
4.1 You can buy with or without an account.
4.2 With an account you can see your order history and reveal your keys, and open support tickets. To create one you need an email address that you control and must verify it. Keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account, unless it was caused by us. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
4.3 If you check out as a guest, your keys are made available on the order page after payment, and we send a delivery email with a link to that page to the email address you enter on the payment page. The page Stripe sends you back to shows the keys for 24 hours after payment. The link in the delivery email keeps working after that. We can resend the delivery email to the address used for the order. Each new delivery email contains a new link, and the links in earlier delivery emails stop working.
4.4 If you later create an account with the same email address and verify it, your earlier guest orders with that address are added to the account.
4.5 You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to buy from us.
4.6 You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. See section 17 and the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Prices are in euros (EUR). The price shown on the product page, in the cart and at checkout is the final price you pay. We do not charge delivery fees or any other fees.
5.2 We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to the price or shown on your receipt. The price is the same whichever country you are in.
5.3 You pay on a payment page hosted by Stripe, our payment provider. You pay on Stripe's payment page with one of the payment methods shown there, such as a debit or credit card. You enter your payment details with Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. If your card or account is not in euros, your bank may charge you a currency conversion fee. That fee is not charged by us.
5.4 If a price or product description on the site is obviously wrong, for example a price far below any normal price for the product, and you realised or should have realised this, we are not bound by it. We may then cancel the order before delivery and refund what you paid in full.
5.5 We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects an order that has already been paid.
6. Placing an order and when the contract is formed
6.1 An order is placed in these steps:
- Choose the DLC and region you want and add it to the cart.
- In the cart, check the items, change quantities or remove items.
- At checkout, check the summary and tick the required confirmations. Every order needs this confirmation: "I have read and accept the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy." and the consent to immediate delivery described in section 9. Orders with EU keys also need the region confirmation in section 3.5. Then choose "Continue to payment".
- On Stripe's payment page, enter your email address and billing address, choose a payment method, check the total and pay.
- When Stripe confirms the payment, we send the delivery email with a link to your keys, and the keys are made available on the order page. Each key stays hidden until you reveal it, see section 8.
6.2 You can correct mistakes until you pay: change the cart before you continue to payment, or leave Stripe's payment page through its back link to return to the shop. Check the email address you enter on the payment page carefully, because the delivery email with the link to your keys is sent there.
6.3 Your order is an offer to buy. While Stripe's payment page is open, the keys in your order are reserved for you and cannot be sold to anyone else.
6.4 The contract is formed when we have received confirmation of your payment and deliver the keys to you. If we cannot deliver every key in a paid order, we tell you by email. We then deliver the missing keys as soon as we can or, if you prefer or if we cannot, refund their price in full no later than 14 days after you ask. Your rights if we deliver late, under konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 9 kap. 2 and 3 §§, are not affected.
6.5 The order page confirms that we have received your order as soon as you return from the payment page. The delivery email confirms the contract. It lists what you bought and the price, gives a link to the order page where you can reveal your keys, and repeats your consent to immediate delivery with the version of the wording and the time you gave it. The keys themselves are not in the email.
7. Our right to refuse or cancel orders
7.1 Before delivery we may refuse or cancel an order, in whole or in part, if:
- we suspect fraud or that the payment was not authorised by the account holder;
- the payment is not confirmed, is reversed, or is disputed;
- the price or product information was obviously wrong (section 5.4);
- the order breaks these terms or a quantity limit;
- the law, a court or an authority does not allow us to complete it, including sanctions rules; or
- your account has been suspended or closed under section 17.
7.2 If we cancel, no contract is formed for the cancelled keys. We tell you by email and refund in full whatever was charged for them, to the original payment method, no later than 14 days after the cancellation.
8. Delivery
8.1 As soon as Stripe confirms your payment, we send the delivery email with a link to the order page to the address on the order, and then make the keys available on the order page. For card payments this normally takes a few seconds and at most a few minutes. On the order page each key is hidden until you choose to reveal it. You can reveal a key at any time.
8.2 Some payment methods take time to clear, from hours to a few business days. The keys stay reserved for your order while the payment is processed and are delivered when it is confirmed. If the payment fails or is not completed, the order is cancelled, the reservation ends, no contract is formed and nothing is owed.
8.3 A key counts as delivered when it is made available to you on the order page (konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 9 kap. 1 §). A hidden key that you can reveal yourself has been made available. Delivery does not depend on when, or whether, you reveal the key. From that moment you carry the risk of the key being lost or misused, as described in section 12.
8.4 If you have not received the delivery email or your keys within 24 hours after your payment was confirmed, check your spam folder and then contact us. We will deliver the keys or refund you. Your rights if we deliver late follow from konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 9 kap. 2 and 3 §§.
9. Right of withdrawal
9.1 As a consumer you normally have a right to withdraw from a contract made at a distance within 14 days, under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler). For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the 14 days start on the day the contract is formed (2 kap. 12 §). The right does not apply once delivery has started, if you expressly agreed that delivery would start during the withdrawal period, you acknowledged that you would lose the right, and we confirmed this on a durable medium (2 kap. 11 § point 11 and 2 kap. 4 §).
9.2 We only sell with immediate delivery. Before you can pay, you must tick this consent at checkout:
I ask for my keys to be delivered immediately after payment. I agree that delivery starts before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the keys have been delivered.
We store the version of that wording (current version 2026-10-23) and the time you gave the consent with your order. The delivery email repeats your consent, the version and the time. That email is our confirmation on a durable medium.
9.3 This means that once your keys have been delivered, you cannot withdraw from the purchase of those keys. It makes no difference whether you have revealed or activated them.
9.4 Until your keys are delivered, for example while a slow payment method is still clearing, you can withdraw from your order. If the payment is confirmed after you have withdrawn, we refund it in full, and any keys delivered for that order are blocked and must not be used. If for any other reason the conditions in section 9.1 were not met for a key, you can withdraw within the 14 days set by the Act.
9.5 To withdraw, use the "Withdraw from contract here" function linked at the bottom of every page of the shop (/withdraw). Enter your name, the order number and the email address used for the order, then choose "Confirm withdrawal". You can also send us a clear statement by email to [email protected] with your order number; you may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. Either way, withdraw before the withdrawal period ends. We send you a receipt by email that states when we received your withdrawal. We refund everything you paid for the order no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal, to the payment method you used, at no cost to you. After withdrawing, you must not use any key from that order.
10. Faulty keys and your statutory rights
10.1 A key must match the order: it must be valid and unused, for the DLC and region stated, and it must activate on a Steam account that meets the requirements in section 3. As a consumer you have the rights set out in konsumentköplagen (2022:260), chapter 9, which covers digital content. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
10.2 We are responsible for faults that existed when the key was delivered and that show within three years of delivery (9 kap. 7 §). A fault that shows within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we show otherwise (9 kap. 8 §). A claim must be made no later than two months after that three-year period ends (9 kap. 10 §).
10.3 Please tell us as soon as you notice a problem. Use a support ticket if you have an account, or email [email protected]. Include the order number, which key is affected, and a screenshot of the full message Steam shows when you try to activate it.
10.4 To find out whether a problem is caused by the key or by your Steam account, device or connection, we may ask you for reasonable information that is the least intrusive way to check, such as a screenshot of Steam's error message, the region of your Steam account, or the steps you took. We may ask for a screen recording that shows you entering the key in Steam and the full message Steam shows. You are hereby informed: if you do not reasonably cooperate, the presumption in section 10.2 does not apply and you will need to show that the key was faulty when it was delivered (9 kap. 9 §). We also keep a log of when each key was first revealed on the order page, with the IP address and browser identification used, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may use this log as evidence when we assess a claim. A reveal does not in itself mean that the key worked, and it does not limit your rights under sections 10.1, 10.2 and 10.5.
10.5 If a key is faulty, we choose whether to fix the problem or replace the key with a working key for the same DLC and region (9 kap. 11 §). In practice we replace it. If a replacement is not possible, is not made within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you, or if the fault is serious, you may instead ask for a price reduction or end the purchase of that key and get its price back. You cannot end the purchase if the fault is minor (9 kap. 12 §). We pay any refund or price reduction no later than 14 days after your request, using the payment method you used, without any fee (9 kap. 18 §). You may also be entitled to compensation for loss caused by the fault under chapter 6 of the same Act.
10.6 A key that we replace or refund is blocked in our records and must not be used afterwards.
11. What is not a fault
11.1 A key is not faulty if it does not work, or cannot be used, because:
- it was activated after delivery by you or by someone who got access to it through you, for example from your email, your device, a screenshot or a shared message;
- it is an EU key and your Steam account region is outside the European Union (you accepted this at checkout, see section 3.5);
- you tried to use it on a platform other than Steam;
- the Steam account does not own the base game Dead by Daylight;
- your Steam account is limited, restricted, suspended or banned by Valve or by the publisher for reasons that have nothing to do with the key;
- the key was typed incorrectly or activated on a different Steam account than the one you intended; or
- you bought a different DLC, region or quantity than you meant to.
11.2 If we conclude that a key is not faulty, we explain why in writing. You can still take the matter further as described in section 19.
12. Your responsibilities
12.1 Before you buy, check that you have chosen the right DLC and region, that your Steam account region fits the key, and that the Steam account owns the base game.
12.2 Use an email address you can access and check your spam folder if a message does not arrive.
12.3 Treat your keys like cash. Anyone who has a key can activate it. Do not share keys, screenshots of keys, the delivery email or the link in it. Once a key has been delivered, we are not responsible if it is lost, stolen or used by someone else, for example through your email account or device, unless this was caused by us, such as by a security breach on our side. We cannot replace keys that were lost or stolen after delivery.
12.4 Do not use the shop for fraud, pay with a payment method you are not authorised to use, buy with automated tools, try to get around quantity limits, or try to interfere with the security or operation of the site.
12.5 Follow the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the publisher's rules when you activate and use the DLC.
13. Payment disputes, chargebacks and fraud
13.1 If something is wrong with an order, contact us first. Most problems are solved faster that way than through a dispute with your bank.
13.2 If a payment is reported as unauthorised or fraudulent, is charged back or disputed, or is flagged by Stripe as high risk, we may cancel any part of the order that has not been delivered, revoke keys that have not been delivered, and suspend the account involved while we look into it.
13.3 While a dispute about a payment for keys that were already delivered is open, the keys in that order are blocked in our records, and we may give the order details to Stripe to answer the dispute. If the dispute is closed in our favour, the keys are valid again. If the payment is charged back and the money is returned to you, and the chargeback was not justified, we may either claim the amount, including through a debt collection agency together with the collection costs the law allows, or cancel the purchase of those keys and report them to Behaviour Interactive and Valve, which can lead to the keys being deactivated on Steam. After a cancellation you must not use the keys.
13.4 We may report suspected fraud to the police and to the payment provider involved.
13.5 This section does not affect your right under the law or your card terms to dispute a payment you did not authorise.
14. Steam, Valve and Behaviour Interactive
14.1 Fogside is run independently. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Behaviour Interactive Inc. or Valve Corporation. Dead by Daylight is a trademark of Behaviour Interactive Inc. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation in the United States and other countries. Other names are used only to describe the products.
14.2 Once a key is activated, your use of the DLC is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and by the publisher's terms for the game.
14.3 We do not control Steam or the game. We are not responsible for decisions or actions of Valve or the publisher, such as bans or restrictions on Steam or game accounts, changes to Steam's region rules or availability, removal or changes of the game or the DLC from Steam, server outages, or game updates. These are not faults in the key. This does not affect your rights under section 10 if a key we sold was invalid, or is deactivated, for a reason that already existed when we delivered it.
15. Limitation of liability
15.1 If you are a consumer, our liability for late delivery and for faults follows konsumentköplagen (2022:260). Nothing in this section limits any right you have under mandatory law.
15.2 If you use a key in a business activity, we are not liable for loss of income or other loss in that activity (konsumentköplagen, 6 kap. 3 §).
15.3 Apart from what mandatory law requires, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost time, or loss of data or game progress, and our total liability for an order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
15.4 The limits in sections 15.2 and 15.3 do not apply to loss we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited.
15.5 If you are a business customer, consumer protection law does not apply to you. Your remedy for a faulty key is a replacement key or, if we cannot provide one, a refund of the price of that key. Sections 15.3 and 15.4 apply to all other claims.
16. Events outside our control
16.1 We are not liable to pay damages for delay or failure to perform caused by an obstacle outside our control that we could not reasonably have expected when the order was placed and whose effects we could not reasonably have avoided or overcome. Examples are war, terrorism, riots, natural disasters, fire, epidemics, decisions by authorities, sanctions, general strikes or lockouts, outages of Steam, the internet or electricity, cyber attacks we could not reasonably prevent, and decisions by Valve. If the cause lies with a provider we use, such as our hosting, payment or email provider, or with the supplier of our keys, including the publisher, this applies only if that provider or supplier was itself hindered by such an obstacle (konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 6 kap. 1 § second paragraph).
16.2 If such an obstacle lasts more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the part of an order that has not been delivered, and we refund what you paid for that part in full.
16.3 For consumers this section applies within the limits of konsumentköplagen (2022:260), 6 kap. 1 §.
17. Suspending and closing accounts
17.1 We may suspend or close an account, or refuse future orders, if we reasonably suspect fraud or payment abuse, after unjustified chargebacks, if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, if someone tries to compromise the security of the site, if our staff are abused, or if the law requires it. We tell you why by email, unless the law or the security of the site prevents it.
17.2 Closing an account does not take away keys that were delivered and paid for, or your rights for faulty keys. You can still reach us by email, and we can resend delivery emails to the address used for each order.
17.3 You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. Save your keys first. Order records are kept after deletion because tax rules require it, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to these terms
18.1 We may change these terms. A new version applies only to orders placed after it has been published on this page. Each order stays under the version you accepted for it.
18.2 If we make a change that significantly affects how accounts work, we tell account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you can delete your account before then.
19. Complaints and dispute resolution
19.1 If you are unhappy with an order or with us, contact us first through a support ticket or by email to [email protected]. We aim to answer within two working days.
19.2 If we reject a complaint in whole or in part, we explain why in writing and tell you where you can take the dispute.
19.3 Consumers can turn to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes. ARN tries disputes between consumers and businesses and issues recommendations on how they should be settled. Its recommendations are not legally binding. ARN only handles disputes above certain amounts and may charge a fee; the current rules are on its website.
- Name
- Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN)
- Postal address
- Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden
- Website
- www.arn.se
19.4 We have decided not to participate in proceedings before ARN.
19.5 If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can give free advice on disputes with businesses in other EU countries. See the European Consumer Centres Network.
19.6 You can always take a dispute to court as described in section 20.
20. Governing law and courts
20.1 Swedish law applies to these terms and to every purchase.
20.2 If you are a consumer living in another country, choosing Swedish law does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live (Rome I Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, article 6(2)).
20.3 If you are a consumer living in the EU, you can bring a claim against us either in the courts of Sweden or in the courts of the country where you live, and we can only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country where you live (Brussels I Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, article 18).
20.4 If you are a business customer, disputes are decided by the general courts of Sweden, with the district court for the place where the seller lives as the first instance. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.
21. Invalid terms
21.1 If a court or authority finds that a term in these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, that term does not apply, and the rest of the terms continue to apply.
21.2 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
